Hargrove Team
Hargrove employs more than 200 full-time employees with 65% production, warehouse and logistics; 32% sales, account management and customer service; and 3% executive and general administration . Annually, Hargrove employs a labor force of more than 3,000 union and temporary personnel for show production and has the ability to quickly gear up in-house staff by more than 100% to produce large scale events such as presidential inaugurals.
Executive Team
Tim McGill, CEO Tim joined Hargrove in 1985 and became CEO in 2002. He has more than 25 years of experience in the industry and began his career working in trade show installation and dismantling. He came to Hargrove, Inc. first as an account executive for special events and trade show development and, in 1991, became manager of the trade show division. In both 1993 and 1997, Tim was appointed the Presidential Inaugural project director for Hargrove, where he was directly responsible for the coordination of all aspects concerning logistics and production between the Presidential Inaugural Committee and Hargrove. In 1995, he was promoted to vice president of trade shows and was responsible for overall management of the division. He has been instrumental in securing Hargrove’s position as a major player in the challenging union market. Currently, he oversees daily operations and manages major events and trade shows. Tim’s sales skills, production knowledge and union expertise have resulted in partnerships with: the Laborers International Union of North America, the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, the International Association of Fire Fighters Union, International Monetary Fund/The World Bank Annual Meeting and Tradeshow, the 1992 Summer Olympic Trials, the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, Washington, DC, International Auto Show, and the Satellite Broadcasters Association Annual Conference and Exhibition. Tim’s long experience in the industry led him to active membership in exposition industry trade organizations. He serves on the board of the Exhibitor Service Contractors’ Association. In March 2008, Tim and wife, Carla McGill, succeeded Mr. Hargrove as owners of Hargrove, Inc. Carla Hargrove McGill, President In her more than 20 years with Hargrove, Carla McGill has helped produce major national celebrations ranging from presidential inaugurals and summit meetings to dedications for important national memorials and museums. In her current role, Carla works with event industry organizations and handles special assignments such as liaison to the G8 Summit and the Presidential Inaugural Committee. She led the company’s Special Events Division from 1997-2002 after working her way up through the graphics, production, and sales departments. In addition to national celebrations, Carla has managed hundreds of corporate events and themed galas, lending her organizational skills to many different clients. Carla is a longtime member of the International Special Events Society and Meeting Planners International. Diana Simmons, Executive Vice President Diana Simmons is executive vice president of Hargrove, overseeing both the trade show and special events divisions. Diana has more than 20 years of experience in the meetings and exposition industries and brings the perspective of both a client and senior executive in the trade show industry to her position. Previously, Diana served as general manager of the Mid-Atlantic division of a major general services contractor and as president and chief operating officer of an independent show organizer specializing in conventions and events for the technology sector. During her career, Diana has planned and produced thousands of events from small meetings to major national conventions and trade shows, directly managing sales, marketing, operations, accounting and administration functions. Heidi León, Vice President Heidi León is Vice President of Hargrove’s Custom Exhibits Division. Heidi has been in the exhibit industry for more than 25 years. Starting her career as Trade Show and Exhibit Manager, she handled sales promotion and special event marketing for a major New York publishing company. Relocating to Atlanta, she held the position of Executive VP of Sales Marketing for the largest independent trade show contractor in the United States. She then opened an Atlanta branch for a major exhibit house and in her position as President, she oversaw the company’s growth to one of largest custom exhibit builders in the southeast. In her current role with Hargrove, she oversees the design and fabrication for custom exhibits, permanent installations and museum contracts. |
